Jean Rae Bergeron STENSTRUP

JANUARY 5, 2000 Jean Rae (Bergeron) Stenstrup died December 31, 1999. She was born on May 23, 1935 to Patrick and Isabelle (Loop) Bergeron in Coleman, WI. Jean graduated from Coleman High School and attended Marinette Teachers College in Marinette. She married Kennieth Stenstrup on August 18, 1956. Jean worked at Chadwick Manufactuning in Coleman, Sears and Wards Catalog stores in Oconto and Riverside Nursing Home for 13 years as an activity assistant. She retired in 1999 due to illness. Jean was a member of Holy Trinity Parish and the American region Auxiliary for 37 years.

Jean was a very loving, caring individual who gave of herself to whomever was in need. She enjoyed going to rummage sales and refinishing furniture. Her love was her family, especially her grand- children.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Kenneth; her mother, Isabelle Bergeron, Stevens Point; five children, a daughter, Lori (Chip) Bitters, Lena; four sons, Mark (Brenda) Stenstrup, Tom (Roseann) Stenstrup, Paul (LuAnn) Stenstrup, Eric (Lori) Stenstrup, all of Oconto; five grandchildren. She is also survived by four brothers, Pat Bergeron, Stevens Point; Jon (Mary Ann) Bergeron, Coleman; James Bergeron, Portland, OR; Michael Bergeron, Hastings, MI; three sisters, Jackie (Jim) Woulf, Green Bay; Sandra Sweet, Saukville; Lynn (Dan) Bur, Marquette, MI.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pat Bergeron, and her maternal and paternal grandparents. Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto where a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 a.m. Monday January 3, 2000 at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site with Rev. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to Unity Hospice of Northeastern WI. I am home in heaven dear ones, Oh, so happy and so bright. There is perfect joy and beauty In the everlasting light.
