The deceased was born June 24, 1979 in Duval, Brown county, and came to Stiles 41 years ago. He married the former Ella Coronet in Duval in 1889. She preceded him in death in 1954. Before his retirement, he was employed by Oconto county as a reforester. He was a member of St. Patrick's church.
Surviving him are seven daughters, Mrs. Orville Van Boven, Stiles; Mrs. Irene Petersohn, Sheboygan; Mrs. James Nejedlo, Pilsen; Mrs Richard Nejedlo, Green Bay; Mrs William Schnese, Oconto Falls, Mrs Elmer Gauthier, Two Rivers; Mrs Jack Phillips, Stiles; two sons, Eugene of Green Bay and John, Jr., Stiles. 42 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Two sons Amos and Joseph, preceded him in death.
Rosary services were held at Soulek funeral Home, Oconto Falls, Tuesday evening. The Reverend James Geenen officiated at the funeral rites in St. Patrick's church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
