Lifelong Oconto Resident Passes
Mr Hynes was born in Oconto, June 26, 1883. He worked as a carpenter for a number of years. He was employed by the Chicago and Northwestern railroad for 20 years. Ill health forced his retirement three years ago.
An active member of the Knights of Columbus, her received national recognition recently for 23 years of perfect attendance at meetings. For 26 years he held various offices in the council. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Peter's church.
The body was taken to the Sheffield Funeral Home where friends may call until Friday morning. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 8:30 at the funeral home and at 9 o'clock at St. Peter's Catholic Church. Rev. Abner Laque will officiate and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery.
The rosary will be said this (Thursday) evening at 8 o'clock by the parish and the Holy Name society and at 9 o'clock by the Knights of Columbus.
Survivors are his wife, the former Matilda Destache and three sons, John on Lansing, Mich, Marvin of Milwaukee and Francis of Janesville.
