- James B. Allen, 58, a former Oconto Falls resident, passed away December 7, 1999, at his home. Jim was a member of the United States Air Force of 28 years, entering the service upon his graduation from Oconto Falls High School in 1960. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War. For the past 11 years he was employed with Northrop Grumman as a property management analyst.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Barbara; his son, Christopher, California City and daughter Danielle Mattson and husband Paul, of Palmdale, Calif.; five precious grandchildren; a brother, John (Jackie) Allen, Plymouth; four sisters Sandra (Kevin) Christopherson, Darien, Ga; Nancy (David) Tisch, Pulaski, Jacqueline (Jan) Olson, Middleton; Paula Allen, De Pere; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents; James Garfield and Johnnie Allen, one niece, one nephew and one great nephew preceded him in death.

Graveside services were held at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, Calif., on December 13, 1999. A memorial Service was held on December 16th at the main chapel at Edward's Air Force base. Halley-Olsen Funeral Chapel, Lancaster, Calif. were in charge of the arrangements.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a memorial donation be made to the Cancer Research Foundation.
