For the past four years he made his home with a son in the Town of Gillett. He had operated a farm there formerly and had worked in a lumber camp near Wabeno.
Mr. Arndt was born in Germany May 15, 1876. He came to the United States in 1902 and was married to Frances Buckholz here in 1905. She preceeded him in death 20 years ago. Two years later he was married to Martha Schroeder and she died eight years ago.
He is survived by two sons, William Arndt, Green Bay, and Henry Arndt, Town of Gillett; two daughters, Mrs. Emil Dethner, Oconto Falls, and Mrs. Adolph Begolke, Underhill; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The Rev. John R. Westphal conducted
funeral services at the Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett, at 2 o’clock Wednesday
afternoon. Burial was in Wanderers Rest Cemetery.
