John A. Johnson Dies 
At Home in Long Lake

Funeral services for John A. Johnson, 82, a former resident of Oconto county, were held Fridays in Long Lake, where he had lived since 1905, and where his death occurred Feb. 7.

 Born in Sweden Oct 13, 1867, he came to the United States at the age of 16, and settled in oconto county where, in 1899 he married Miss Margaret Douyette of Green Bay. The couple celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last fall.

 Mr. Johnson had held many Florence county and Long Lake town offices and at the time of his death was clerk of the town of Long Lake. During his residence there he operated a general merchandise store and a lumber business.

 Survivors besides his widow include five sons, Earl, of Kremming, Colo., Kenneth, John and Lloyd, Milwaukee, and two daughters, Mrs. Mildred Richter and Mrs. Jack Schader both of Green Bay.
