Albert "Joe" A. Christenson, 56, Peshtigo Brook Road, Suring, died unexpectedly at home March 5, 2000.

He was born in Crandon August 22, 1943 to Alger and Lola (Erickson) Christenson. Joe moved to Suring at the age of three. He graduated with the Suring High School Class of 1961. On August 1, 1964 he married Sharon Giese at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Suring. Currently Joe was employed by Evenflo and had earlier worked as a logger for 20 years. He loved to trout fish, enjoyed camping, and his grandchildren. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Breed.

Survivors include his wife Sharon, his father, Alger, both of Suring; two daughters and their families, Tina (Louise) Christenson, of Krakow, Billie Jo (Scott) Rice, of Manawa; his three brothers, Bill, of Texas, Don (Dorothy), of Crandon, Jerry (Jan), of Menasha; three sisters, March (Buck) Bialcik, of Green Bay, Suzie (Bob) Phillips, of Mountain, Joan Lundquist of Waukesha; five grandchildren; his in-laws, Elton (Margaret) Giese, of Suring, Sandee (David) Rich, of Sullivan, WI. Further survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in Suring Thursday March 9, 2000 from 5 p.m. until funeral services 6 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Paul A. Scheunemann officiating.
