Mrs. William (Irene) Kosbab, 74, of Lena, formerly of Green Bay and Shawano Lake, died Monday, June 26, 2000, surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, after a year-long battle with cancer. She was born on September 9, 1925 in Angelica, to the late Felix and Anna (Brusky) Wleczyk. On February 15, 1947, she married William Kosbab; he preceded her in death on June 6, 1986. Irene was employed by Shopko for many years prior to retiring. She was a member of Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church. She was a loving mom, grandma and great-grandma. One of her joys in life was making candy and cookies for all during the holidays. She also spent her time playing bingo and chatting over coffee.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Lisa Kosbab, De Pere; two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Kevin Brunette, De Pere; and Darlene and Willie Ingalls, Lena; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Raymond (Eleanor) Vandermoss, Green Bay; one brother-in-law, Rudolph Kosbab, Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law, Minnie (Harold) Molleson, Milwaukee; and Jean Wleczyk, Green Bay; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and .friends.

She was also preceded in death by three brothers; two sisters; and a , very special family friend, ,Arnold Zimmerman.

Friends called at Lyndahl Funeral Home, Lombardi Ave. at Ridge Rd., Green Bay where a parish wake service was held. A Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m. Thursday at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church with the Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Interment in Fort Howard Memorial
