Funeral services for Mrs. Ida M. Volk, 78, formerly of the village of Gillett, died at the home of her son, Jay, at Ilk City, Oklahoma on Tuesday. The Rev. F.P.Hanaman was in charge of the funeral services and they were held at the Kuehl Funeral home.

Mrs. Volk was born at Columbus, Sept. 10, 1858, and one year later moved with her parents to the village of Gillett, Wisconsin. In 1875 she was married to Alfred Volk and resided here until 1901, when they moved to Oklahoma City, Iklahoma, where she resided until three months ago when her health began to fail. She then moved to the home of her son. Her husband preceded her in death three years ago. One daughter, Mrs. J.C. Rice, Briscoe, Texas and two sons, Jay and Fred of Madison survive, together with 10 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Albert Gillett, Clyde and Delbert Howell, George and Art Schaal and Otto Helmke. Burial was in Wanderers Rest Cemetery. The entire family was present at the funeral.
