Ida Pearl Lees Stubbs

Ida Pearl Stubbs, 102, of Wabeno, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2000.

Pearl was born on September 6, 1898 in Indiana to William and Elizabeth (Morgan) Lees. She married Walter Stubbs on September 24, 1916. The couple moved to a farm, which they affectionately called "Belly Acres", outside of Wabeno in 1922.

Pearl began playing the piano for church services at the age of 14 and continued to praise the Lord with the piano until she was in her 90's. She enjoyed gardening and canning the produce. For her pastime she loved to crochet, especially a bookmark Cross which she gave to 100's of people.

Survivors include three daughters, Pauline (George) Lundeen, Laona; Georgia Tuell, Pulcifer, WI; Alice Weller, Mountain; 15 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, 70 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters, Laura, Mae and Ruth; one brother, John; one great-grandson and twin great-great-grandchi1dren.

Visitation was from noon until the time of the service at 3 p. m. at the Bethel Baptist Church, Wabeno, WI on Monday, September 25. Suminski Funeral Home, Wabeno in charge of arrangements.
