Irene was born February 16, 1914 at Wabeno to the late Clement and Louise (Peske) LeFevre. She married Ted Funk February 12, 1938 in Green Bay; he preceded her in death on November 29, 1974. Irene had been head cook at Oconto School District for 27 years. She was a resident of Riverside Health and Rehabilitation since 1997. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Women's Association at the Church and the Couillardville Homemakers.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Funk, Oklahoma City, OK; David (Mary Ann) Funk, Pomona, CA; William (Vicki) Funk, Oconto; two brothers, Orville LeFevre, San Diego, CA; Roy (Rot) LeFevre, San Jose, CA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Evelyn.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Friday June 2, 2000 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Don Clarke officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery. 3h>
