Irene was born February 16, 1914 at Wabeno to the late Clement and Louise (Peske) LeFevre. She married Ted Funk February 12, 1938 in Green Bay; he preceded her in death on November 29, 1974. Irene had been head cook at Oconto School District for 27 years. She was a resident of Riverside Health and Rehabilitation since 1997. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and the Women's Association at the Church and the Couillardville Homemakers.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Funk, Oklahoma City, OK; David (Mary Ann) Funk, Pomona, CA; William (Vicki) Funk, Oconto; two brothers, Orville LeFevre, San Diego, CA; Roy (Rot) LeFevre, San Jose, CA; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Evelyn.
Friends called at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Friday June 2, 2000 at First Presbyterian Church with Rev. Don Clarke officiating. Burial at Brookside Cemetery.
