Rites Held Saturday For Mrs. Wm. Lawler
Well Known Falls Matron

OCONTO FALLS - Funeral rites were held at Grace Lutheran Church on Saturday afternoon for Mrs. William Lawler, 142 N. Adam Street, Oconto Falls, who died Thursday morning at Community Memorial Hospital. She had been in Ill health for some time past. The Rev. H. K. Diemer officiated at the rites at one-thirty, and interment took place in Woodlawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Messrs.. W. D. Larson, George Malcomson, Rudolph Gaerth, George Meyer, Harry Volk and Fred Walnitz.

The officers and members of the Ed. Sankey unit of the American Legion Auxiliary held a memorial service on Friday evening. She was a Past President and had been an active member for many years. She was also a member of the Ladies Society of Grace church.

Mrs. Lawler was born Ida Foss at Stiles on December 28, 1889. Her marriage to Mr. Lawler took place on August 26, 1920 after which the couple took up residence in Oconto Falls. They had resided here continuously ever since.

Besides her husband, survivors, include brother, Arthur Foss of Green Bay, three sisters, Miss Lena Foss of Stiles, Mrs.. Anna Knuth and Mrs. Emma Scannell, both of Green Bay. She is further survived by nieces and nephews, and many friends.
