Ioline Flatley Flowers

Ioline Flowers, 102, Oconto Falls, died Thursday evening, November 15, 2001 at Community Memorial Hospital.

She was born August 9, 1899 in Oconto Falls to John and Mary (Grunert) Flatley. She married Earl "Buggy" Flowers and he preceded her in death in 1952. Ioline lived in Oconto Falls for most of her life where she once worked as a clerk for Bauman's Clothing Store, waitressed at the Falls Restaurant and was employed at Community Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a telephone operator. She is a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and was once active in the Christian Mothers. Ioline enjoyed knitting numerous mittens and slippers for her family over the years. She also enjoyed being with people and just having a "good time".

Survivors are two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Jean Flowers, Oconto Falls; D.J. and Gayle Flowers, Georgia; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Dick Boucher, Oconto Falls; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by three sisters, Dot McKeever, Viroca Saunders and Beryl Dougherty; one brother, Leo Flatley and one granddaughter, Renee Boucher-Krumrel.

Friends called at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Oconto Falls after 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 20, until the time of services. Mass of Christian Burial was 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church with the Rev. Fr. Harold Beerntsen and Patricia DeGroot, parish director officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery, Oconto Falls. Jones Funeral Service served the family.
