Irene C. Cook, 68, Suring, died of a sudden illness at a local Green Bay hospital on December 19, 1999.
She served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1956. While she was in the service, she met Douglas L. Cook who was also serving in the U.S. Air Force. The couple later married on November 26, 1955 in Lanstuhl, Germany. The couple has been residents of Suring since 1956. Irene enjoyed bowling and walking with her husband. She was a member of the American Legion, Women’s Auxiliary, Eastern Star, and the Gillett Women’s Club.
Irene is survived by her husband, Douglas L. Cook, DDS of Suring; four sons, Dr. Bruce L. Cook, D.C. of Suring; Ranger L. and Renee Cook of Memphis, TN; Flint and Joy Cook of Suring; Staber and Jamie Cook of Cecil; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bob and Jean Door, George and Ruth Door all of Massachusetts; one sister, Jean McCarthy of Massachusetts. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Private services were held. West Mason Malcore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
