Irene Hope Fredrick, 77, Oconto Falls, passed away Thursday morning, Feb. 5, 2004. She was born Dec. 9, 1926, in Gillett, to the late Julius and Emma (Wasmund) Beilfuss. Irene married Edward J. Fredrick on May 30, 1951. He preceded her in death April 19, 2000. Irene was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer, and the ladies aid.

Irene is the mother of Kathy Fredrick (Carl Hoffman), Cleveland Heights, Ohio; John (Brenda) Fredrick, Elgin, Ill.; Penny Fredrick, Milwaukee; grandmother of John and Christopher Hoffman and Cody Fredrick; sister of Beatrice (the late Leo) Kostuch, Milwaukee; Anna Mae (the late Roger) Olson, Two Rivers; sister-in-law of Elsie (the late Martin) Gustke; Marion (the late Herbert) Fredrick, both of Oconto Falls; Bette (Marvin) Zellmer, Water Town; and Jean (Gordon) Boelter; Baton Rouge, La. Irene was also preceded in death by one brother, Herbert Beilfuss; two sisters, Ethel Neuman and Alice Koenig.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. until noon Monday, Feb. 9, 2004, at St. John Lutheran Church, Pulcifer. Funeral services at 11 a.m. Monday, at the church, with the Rev. John Laatsch officiating. Interment in the church cemetery. Kuehl Funeral Home is assisting Irene’s family with arrangements.
