Harold Van Gaal Is Buried Monday
Final Rites Held for Victim of Motorcycle Crash
Oconto, Wis. - Funeral services were held for Harold Van Gaal, 21-year-old motorcycle victim, at St. Joseph’s
church here at 9 o’clock Monday morning. The Rev. L. C. Becker officiated at the services. The Rev. R. P.
Wagner, vice rector and principle of the high school at St. Norbert’s, DePere, where Harold obtained his high
school education, preached the sermon for the services.
Mr. Van Gaal died at the local hospital as the result of a crushed spine sustained five days before when the
motorcycle on which he was riding got out of control and crashed into a curbing, throwing him against a tree.
He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. William Van Gaal, one brother Leon and one sister Mrs. Mark
Jaeger; all of Oconto.
Harold had been well known throughout northeastern Wisconsin.
