Harry Sobeck, 90, 'Town of Stiles, died Tuesday, January 12, 1999 at his residence. He was born to the late Fred and Mathilda Sobeck June 18, 1908 in Lena. In his younger years he worked at a logging camp near Laona, WI and also worked in Milwaukee for several years. Harry married the former Anna Markiewiez November 20, 1941 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Spruce, WI. The couple farmed for, many years near Stiles Junction.

Surviving are his wife, Anna; two daughters, Carol Sobeek, Waupun; Janice (Harlan) Shupita, Green Bay; one son, Jerry Sobeck, Lena; two grandsons, Bryan Shupita, Appleton; Kevin Shupita, Eden Prairie, MN; one brother, John (Esther) Sobeek, Lena; and nieces and nephews. Harry was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard; and three sisters, Marie Mireeki, Frances Seals, and Eldona Stank.

Friends called at the Rhodes- Charapata Funeral Home, Lena, Friday, January 15, 1999 from 9- 10:30 a.m. The Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Stiles at 11 a.m., with Father Harold Beemsten offi- ciating. Interment at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Stiles.
