Hannah Stepeck JORGENSEN

Hannah M. Jorgensen, 89, DePere and Oconto, died Saturday February 27, 1999, at a local nursing home. Hannah was born January 23, 1910, in Klondike, Wis. to the late John and, Mary (Stepeck) Hooper. Hannah married George Jorgensen, Sr. on July 15, 1939, in Spruce, he preceded her in death April 4, 1984. They farmed in Oconto for 25 years prior to moving to DePere in 1973. Hannah enjoyed needlework, gardening and spending time with her family.

Survivors include a son, Richard and Barbara Jorgensen of Bellevue; three grandchildren, Bradley, Jeffrey and Carrie Jorgensen; one sister, Mrs. Phill (Marion) Coppens, and nieces and nephews.

Hannah is preceded in death by her husband; a son, George Jr.; a sister, Blanche Kershek, and three brothers, Edward, Robert and William Hooper.

Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Church on the corner of Fourth and Grant St., DePere (formerly St. Boniface) from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial in the Mount Calvary Cemetery. Ryan Funeral Home, DePere, assisted the family.
