H. S. ELDRED SUCCUMBS

Howard S. Eldred, 80, president of the Anson Eldred Lumber company of Stiles, Wis. and prominent clubman here, died Thursday at his home, 2230 E. Bradford avenue, after a five day illness.

Mr. Eldred had been in the lumber business since he was graduated from Dartmouth university in 1874, and for many year was president of the Kellogg Citizens bank of Green Bay. He was senior warden of St. Paul's Episcopal church for 30 years. He was a member of the Town and University clubs. Mr. Eldred is survived by his widow, Mrs. Clara Strong Eldred; daughter, Mrs. Eldred Stephenson, and a son, Anson Eldred, treasurer of the Anson Eldred company.

The funeral will be conducted Saturday at St. Paul's church and burial will be in Forest Home cemetery.
