Funeral services for Mrs. Christ Depner were held at St. Jacob's Lutheran church on Sunday afternoon. The Rev. Lorenz Schultheiss officiating. Burial took place in Woodlawn Cemetery, the casket being borne by the four older sons and two son-in-laws, Ed. Schwartz and Allen Kain.

Mrs. Depner had been ill for over three years having suffered a paralytic stroke, the cause of which was high blood pressure. Death released her from her sufferings Friday evening.

The deceased lady was born Helen Slack in Brazil, South America, on December 3, 1891, and came to Oconto county with her parents when a child of twelve. She was married to Christ Depner in Oconto Falls, who with twelve children survives her. The children are Arthur, Orville, Norman, Elmer, Norwood, Edward and Lyman, Emma, Mrs. Edw. Schwartz of Sturgeon Bay; Elsie, Mrs. Clarence Opsahl of Wabeno; Anne, Mrs. Allen Kain of Appleton; Martha and Stella at home.
