FUNERAL HELD AT CHURCH IN ABRAMS

Herbert Richard Heimke, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Heimke, passed away at his parental home Monday, March 31 at 3:00 a.m. following several month's illness of Brights disease.

He was born Dec.10, 1905 at Rockland, Wis. In 1913 he moved to Abrams with his parents. On July 10, 1929 he was married to Miss Leona Pagel of Little Suamico, who survives him, in addition to his parents, two sisters, Mrs. 0. Jandry, Brillion and Mrs. H. Brock, DePere and one brother, Norbert, at home.

The funeral was one of the largest ever held in this vicinity. Services were held Thursday, April 3, at 2 p. m. from the Abrams Lutheran church with the Rev. Paul Eggert officiating. Burial was in the Brookside cemetery. The pallbearers, who were his cousins, were; Melvin, Elmer and George Laabs, Theodore Heimke and Wilbur and Raymond Schmall.

The flowers were numerous and beautiful and were in charge of Miss Hattie Laabs, Miss Marjorie Hetherington, Mrs. George Laabs, Mrs. Oscar Eichman, Mrs. Raymond Schmall and Mrs. Lulu Lardinlois.

The people from out of town who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Herman Berkstrom, Mr. and Mrs. George Berkstrom, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Demske, Mr., and Mrs. Fred Demske, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Laabs and family, Mrs. Gust Schmickel, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Laabs and family, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bartz of De Pere.

Pollock and son, Ruthford of Medford; Ferdinand Vickers and family of Kaukauna, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmall and son, Wilbur, Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Schmall of Collins; Mr. and Mrs. Otto Janudry and family of Chilton; Mr., and Mrs. Ervin Junker and son, Ralph, of Manitowoc; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Heimke and family of Green Bay and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hetherington and daughter, Marjorie, of Milwaukee, and Mrs. E. J. Lardidnois of Green Bay.
