Mrs. Classon, 69, Dies Thursday

Mrs. Wilbur Classon, 69, 548 Main St., Oconto, passed away at the Oconto hospital Thursday morning after suffering a heart attack Wednesday.

Mrs. Classon, the former Harriet Porter was born June 9, 1893 and was a lifetime resident of Oconto. Her husband preceded her in death in 1952. She was active in Red Cross work and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and Woman's Club.

Funeral services were held Monday at 9:30 a.m. from St. Mark's church with the Reverend Albert Hillestad officiating. Pallbearers were Judge Joseph Joseph Housner, Dr. B. A. Holyoke, James Martineau, Norbert Biron, George Rider and Allen Ehlers. Burial ws in Evergreen Cemetery. McQueen Sheffield funeral home was in charge of the arrangements.

The deceased is survived by one son, Stephen of Pittsburgh; one sister, Mrs. Grace Middlecoff of Oconto and three grandchildren.
