Aged Resident of Spruce Dies Monday;
Mrs. Michaelina [Helena, Lena] Nowak-Pawlak

Died at the home of her son Wenzel Pawlak, in the town of Spruce. She was born in Pozan,Germany in 1844 July 29, to Peter Novak [Nowak] and Agnes Novak [Nowak]-Szubiek.

At age 26 she married John Pawlak, and two years later she followed her husband John to America. Then in 1893 they settled in in the town of Spurce. In 1877 they lived in Eaton, Poland of Brown Co, Wisc. where there was a church built in 1875 named St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic in Green Bay,Wis. She was a member with her husband John Pawlak. It was the largest list of Polish people who came to Green Bay . She was a Midwife. Her

Husband John died in 1907 April 16, 1907 in the town of Spruce. She is survived by her two daughters; MrsJohn [Francis] Kucik and Mrs Joseph [Anna] Markiewicz of Lena ; Three sons, Stanley {Josephine]; Wencil [Mary] and John [Anna] of Milwaukee; 51 Grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Church of Spurce at Ten O'Clock Wednesday morning, Rev J. Kierzejka officating. She is buried in the Spurce Church cemetary next her husband John Pawlak.
