Funeral Services Will Be Held Monday Afternoon, Rev. Holman to Officiate.
The body was removed to the MacQueen Funeral home, and funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the late residence with rev. J. Holman, pastor of St. Paul's Evngelical church officiating.
Mrs. Pfeiffer was born in Germany Aug. 20, 1845 and was brought to this country at the age of eight after a stormy trip across the ocean on a sailboat. The family settled in Milwaukee and later Mrs. Pfeiffer lived in Appleton. Sixty years ago she became the bride of Mr. Pfeiffer, a Civil War veteran, and they made their residence in Oconto at that time. Mr. Pfeiffer died five years ago.
Mrs. Pfeiffer knew northeastern Wisconsin when it was in its prime. She often told of the early days in this part of the state when vast virgin forests abounded and Indians were a part of the life in this city.
Survivors are three children: Arthur of Oconto, Emma at home, and Mrs. J. G. Weaver of Worthington, ?; and two grandsons, Justice of the Peace Joseph Fisher of Oconto and Charles Fisher of Racine; two great-grandchildren, Katherine and Charles Fisher Jr. of Racine and two brothers, Fred and Herman Lecker of Appleton.
