Harry Lord, 69, at one time a prominent Oconto resident being connected with the management of the Peoples Land and Manufacturing Co., passed away Sunday afternoon at his New Westminster, British Columbia home.

The remains arrived in Green Bay Monday, July 5, and were brought to the MacQueen Chapel on Tuesday. Brief services under the auspices of the Elks lodge were conducted Tuesday afternoon at the Hickory cemetery, where the body was interned.

Harry Lord was born August 21, 1868 in Oconto the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lorenzo Lord, deceased. Mr. Lord spent most of his life in Oconto County, leaving here 15 years ago for Canada, where he has been connected with a paper mill company for several years.

During the years spent in Oconto county Mr. Lord operated general merchandise stores in Lena, Oconto Falls, Maple Valley, Hickory and Oconto.

Survivors are the widow, nee Miss Elizabeth Brophy, to whom he was married on January 2, 1894; one son Herbert O., of Madison; one daughter, Mrs. F.T. Middleton, of Glendale, Calif.; and one sister, Mrs. Nellie Butler of Kelly Lake.
