Helen M. BELLOW, 86, Stiles, WI, died Wednesday, February 17, 1999, at Community Memorial Hospital, Oconto Falls, WI.
The former Helen KUSHAVA was born to the late Frank and Paulina (WARDEN) KUSHAVA February 18, 1912 in Lena, WI. She married Alvin BELLOW April 18, 1928. Her husband preceded her in death March 5, 1987. Helen was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles, and also enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include her children, Sylvester and Alfred BELLOW of Coleman, WI, Jane (Roy) SITTNER of Bellwood, IL, Melvin (Pat) BELLOW of Kenosha, WI, Darlene (Ron) WILLIAMS of Minnesota, Diane (Jerry) PUSICH of Suring, WI, Lou Ann (Peter) HERLACHE of Lena, Eugene BELLOW of Stiles; 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one great-great-great-grandson, eight step-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Florence AUSLOOS of Green Bay, Leona BELONGIA of Oconto, WI, Antoinette TAPPA of Lena, Paul (Ester) KUSHAVA of Milwaukee, WI; Tony (Germaine) KUSHAVA of Bellview, WI; Joe (Gladys) KUSHAVA of Lena; two sisters-in-law, Ethel KUSHAVA of Oconto Falls and Loretta KUSHAVA of Greenleaf, WI.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Henry and Jerome; two sisters, Margaret and Marion; three brothers-in-law, Tony AUSLOOS, Norman BELONGIA and Gilbert TAPPA, and one grandchild.
Visitation was held at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home in Lena Friday, February 19, from 4:00 -9:00 p.m. with a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Also visitation was held at the funeral home Saturday, February 20, 9:00 -10:30 a.m. Funeral service as held at 11:00 a.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles, with Father Harold Beernsten officiating. Interment at Abrams/Stiles Cemetery.
