Howard (Johnny) Topel, 76, Pensaukee, died Wednesday after a short illness.
He was born Dec. 8, 1901 in Pensaukee to the late Ferdinand and Nell Topel, and was a lifetime resident of the area. He worked on tug boats out of Green Bay for 20 years, and was also a commercial fisherman. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors are one sister, Mrs. Edward Mercier of Green Bay, and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were held at the Gallagher-Pinkart funeral home Saturday afternoon, the Reverend Harold Aasland officiating. Burial was in Brookside cemetery. .
