She was born January 18, 1916 in Little Suamlco to George and Bertha (Mielke) Friedman. On January 20, 1935 she married Frank Ellner.
Following their marriage, the couple lived in Milwaukee before moving to Abrams where they owned and operated a dairy farm. They later moved to Stiles and Helen had lived in Oconto Falls since 1990. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Abrams.
Survivors are one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Dorothy Ellner, Oconto Falls; one daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Gary Farrell, Suamico; nine grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elsie Gell, Abrams.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Frank on February 10, 1975, one brother, William Friedman, and her twin sister, Hilda Kozlow-ski.
Friends may call at Calvary Lutheran Church in Abrams after 9 a.m. Wednesday until the time of services. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church with the Rev. Alan Klessig officiating. Burial In Brookside Cemetery, Town of Pensaukee. Jones Funeral Service, Oconto Falls is serving the Ellner family.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to Calvary Lutheran Church building fund.
