Suring, Dies 

Suring- Harold E. Schmit, 48, operator of a tavern here for the past 12 years, died at 2 p.m. Saturday in Wisconsin General Hospital, Madison. He had been a patient at the hospital for about 10 days.

Born April 24, 1908, at Green Valley, he was a resident of Suring for 47 years. After his fathers death he assumed operation of the tavern.

A veteran if the U. S. Navy service in WW II, he was a member of the American Legion Post . He was also a member of Mount Olive Lutheran Church.

Survivors are his wife, Lucille, his mother, Mrs. Frank Schmit, Suring; and a daughter Sally Ann, at home. Friends may call at the Soulek Funeral home, Suring. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Mount Olive Church with the Rev. F. C. Benecke officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
