DEATH CLAIMS FALLS DENTIST  
Raking Leaves Fatal to Dr. H. E. Lipp;  
Funeral Set Sunday

OCONTO FALLS, Wis. - Dr. H. E. Lipp, a practicing dentist here since the mid twenties, died suddenly Wednesday evening at his home at Peshtigo, Rt. 2.

Dr. Lipp was raking leaves when he was stricken with a heart attack.

Dr. Lipp had a varied career which ranged from his dental practice to coaching football and basketball and serving in the Army during World War I.

He was born at Brandon, Wis., Oct. 27, 1897, Following graduation from the Oshkosh Normal School, he taught sports at Merrill High School for one year.

Commissioned In Army

He entered the Marquette University Dental School after a short teaching career and was commissioned a first lieutenant in the Army upon graduation. He practiced at Oconto Falls after completion of his Army service.

Following his marriage to Sigrid Larson Aug. 9, 1949, he moved to Peshtigo, Rt. 2, and drove daily to his office here.

Dr. Lipp was a member of Marinette-Florence and Oconto County Dental Assn. And a member of the state dental association.

Survivors Listed

Besides his wife, he is survived by a brother, Dr. George, Bismark, N. D.; and four sisters, Miss Amanda and Lena Lipp, both of Fond du Lac; Mrs. Anna Schmidt, Brandon, Wis., and Mrs. Henry York, Fairwater, Wis.

The last rites will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Hansen and Onion Funeral Home in Marinette. The Rev. Robert Krueger of Peshtigo will officiate and burial will be in Riverside Cemetery at Peshtigo.

The body may be viewed at the funeral home from Saturday noon until the time of services.
