Harry D. Whitcomb, 83, former Oconto county sheriff, chairman of the county board, and chairman of the town of Little Suamico, died at his home here on thrusday evening of a stroke of paralysis. The body was removed to the Gallagher funeral home.

Funeral services will be held at St. Josephs Catholic church Monday morning the Rev. L.C. Becker officiating. Interment will be in Brookside cemetery. Mr. Whitcomb was born in Kenosha June 3, 1850, and came to Oconto county in 1861 with his parents, settling in Little Suamico. Later he lived in the town of Abrams, and for the past few years had lived in Oconto.

Survivors are his widow, Susan, Three sons, Lester of Abrams, Arthur of Milwaukee and Harry F. of Kenosha, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Bent, Whitewater, and Mrs. Irvin Robinson of Oconto.
