Mrs. Hersa Boyce Is Buried In N. Y. Today
Mrs. Boyce was born ( Hersa Remington ) in New York State and lived there until she and her husband, Albert Boyce, came to Oconto Falls from Corinth in 1902. Mr. Boyce, who was an experienced paperman, passed away here August 5th, 1917.
The deceased lady is survived by four daughters, namely - Ruth, Mrs. Hymen Lipschutz; Mildred. Mrs. A. D. May, Oswego, New York; Hersa, Mrs. A. W. Plier, Rhinelander; and Miss Florence Boyce, R.N., New York City, all of whom were with her at the time of her death. Mrs. Plier made the trip to New York by aeroplane and in that way reached her mother's side by Sunday morning.
Mrs. Boyce was instrumental in the organization of the Oconto Falls Order of the Eastern Star and was every faithful member of the chapter. She was a long time member of the Methodist Episcopal church, serving faithfully and well in the Ladies aid and Woman's Foreign Mission Society. She gave of her best to her Master in serving His church and her neighbors.
Funeral services were held on Thursday and burial was to take place in Chestertown.
Sincere sympathy is extended to the bereaved daughters by their friends in Oconto Falls, all of whom are mourning the parting from a friend.
