Howard was born Febnuary 14, 1926 in Oconto to the late Howard and Irene (Exferd) Bostedt Sr. He married Margaret "TD" Helmer on August 9, 1943 in Menominee, MI. Howard worked for Holt Hardwood Mill, American Motors, Reed's Mink Ranch, City of Oconto and the Oconto County Highway ay Department until his illness in 1967. Howard loved to deer hunt and go fishing.
Howard is survived by his wife Margaret "TD", Oconto; one daughter, Susie (Claire) Trepanier, Oconto; three sons, John (Cyndi) Bostedt, Oconto; Bo(Rita) Bostedt, Oconto; Terry (Dawn) Bostedt, Green Bay; one brother, Freddie (Dorothy) Bostedt, Green Ray; two sisters, .Joyce Miller, Green Bay; Murella Trepanier , Racine; one stepbrother, Billy Bostedt; two stepsisters, Beatha and Marcine; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Pete and Roland Colson.
The family received relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, from 4 to 9 p. m. Thursday July 27, 2000, and again on Friday, July 28 from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services were conducted 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frederik Schulz officiating and burial at Evergreen Cemetery.
