Mrs. Clarice Helen Enger, 94, Cudahy, formerly of Oconto died December 19, 2000 at St. Luke's Hospital, Cudahy.
The former Clarice Barber was born March 13, 1906 in Oconto the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (LeRue) Barber. Early in life she and her sister Norine worked at the Oconto Knitting Mill. She then moved to Milwaukee where she was employed by the Boston Store as well as a Milwaukee Knitting Mill. She married Stanley Enger and the couple resided in Milwaukee and Florida until Stanley preceded her in death at which time she moved back to Milwaukee.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Jack (Marjorie) Smith, Cudahy; Mrs. Clement (Norine) Surprise, Oconto; nieces and nephews.
Clarice was preceded in death by four brothers, Lloyd, Henry, Bernard, and Franklin and by Agnes Starr, Myrtle Schlimme, and Sister Mary Nora Barber.
A Mass as well as graveside prayers will take place in the Spring. Interment at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
