Helen (Bednarz) Baldwin, 88, died Thursday, February 28, 2002. She was born to the late William and Bertha (Oschefsky) Bednarz on May 27, 1913 in the town of Beaver. The former Helen Bednarz married Michael Baldwin in 1930 in Milwaukee. The couple farmed in the Coleman area, moving to Stiles in August 1949. Michael preceded Helen in death January 14, 1950. She worked at Oconto Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1974. She had been a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Stiles.

Helen is the beloved mother of Norman (Sarah) Baldwin, Lena; Darwyn "Tim" (Darlene) Baldwin, Oconto; Darlene (Greg) Meese, Pittsfield, MA; Mack (Marilyn) Baldwin, Lena; Rodney "Joe" (Carol) Baldwin, Suring; Karla Baldwin and special friend Charlie Koskela, Green Bay; Linda (Vic) Ausloos, Kenosha; Loren "Bock" (Brenda) Baldwin, Green Bay; Arlen "Pete" (Sandra) Baldwin, Merrill. She is also survived by two sisters Agnes Baldwin, Milwaukee and Ruth Kertsz, Crivitz; 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Helen Marcia, daughter, Sandra Trudell, and granddaughter, Angel Trudell as well as other brothers and sisters.

Friends called on Sunday at the Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Lena; a wake service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was conducted 11 a.m. Monday, March 4, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Stiles, with Father William Swichtenberg officiating. Burial at the Evergreen Cemetery, Oconto.
