Harry A. Pawlak of Gillett,
dies age 68.

Harry A. Pawlak of Gillett at the Gillett Nursing Home. following a long battle with cancer. He was born September 23, 1927 in the town of Spurce, to the late Stanley and Josephine [Klimczk] Pawlak. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. On May 3,1952 . Harry married Elaine E.Wyent at St. Charles Catholic Church,Lena.

He had been employed by the former Nelson Plywood Co., Gillett. He then was employed by the former Liquid Carbonic Co., Oconto, until his retirement. He was a member of St. John Catholic Church, Gillett and the Catholic Order of Foresters. Harry was also a member of Krause-Simpson Post 300, Gillet American Legion, the Gillett City Fire Department for 20 years, Gillett Sportsmen Club and Oconto County Deputy Sheriffs Association. He was an honorary member of the Gillett Area Ambulance Service. Harry is survived by his wife Elaine, Gillett; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Adam, Mike and Carol, Ed and Mary, all of Lena; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Regina Van Nieuwenhoven, Pulaski; Genevieve and Paul Klimczk, Milwaukee; Frances and John Lipinski, Dalles OR; a brother-in-law, Donald Wyent, Gillett, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters Lucile [Mrs Marvin Hoida ], Gertrude [Mrs Henry Rasch] Helen (Mrs John Wilinski, Jr ] and four brothers Wencil and Henry and two unnamed infant males, and his parents Stanley and Josephine [Klimczk] Pawlak.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday at St. John Catholic Church with the Rev. John M. Gallergher officiating. Interent in the church cemetery with military rites conducted by members of the Gillett V.F.W and American Legion. A memorial fund has been established. Pallbears were Peter, Gary and Jim Pawlak, Bernard Lipinski, Jerome Martinear, Ray Mueller, Honory pallbearer Leonard Giese.
