Masons To Direct Dr. Allan Funeral

Funeral services for Dr. Hamilton Allan, retired pioneer physician of Tacoma, who died last week in San Diego, will be held at 1:30 p. m. Wednesday from the Scottish Rite cathedral under the auspices of fellow 33rd degree Masons. The body will lie in state at the cathedral from 11 a. m. until time of the funeral. Lebanan Lodge No. 104 F. & A. M. will have charge of services at the Tacoma Mausoleum, where interment will be made. Dr. Allan was also a member of Afifi temple of the Shrine. The funeral will be open to the public.

Deceased, who was 85, retired from practice in 1907. He came to Tacoma in 1889 and for many years was chief surgeon of the western division of the Northern Pacific Rail Road Co. His body arrived at the C. C. Mellinger mortuary from California Monday afternoon."

(NOTE: Dr. Hamilton Allan, my G-Grandfather and husband to Mary Ann Leigh Allan, came to Oconto in 1873 and was there several years before moving to Tacoma Washington.)
