Geraldine "Gerrie" Wroblewski died September 17, 2000 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, WI.

She was born in Oconto March 10, 1914 to the late Frank and Emma (Draves) Wroblewski. Gerrie, fondly known as "The Hug Lady " Oconto, was an active member of Holy Trinity Parish until illness placed her in the loving care of the staff at Riverside Nursing Center. She graduated from Trinity Parochial School and graduated from Oconto High School. She worked forty years as a supervisor at the Great Lakes Shoe Co. and after her retirement there, she served as a housekeeper for the Priest at Holy Trinity Parish. Gerrie was an active member of the Society, where she served as president for four years. She also served for one year as president of the Catholic Women's Club and Oconto Ladies Bowling League.

"Gerrie" is survived by her son Duddly "Ski" (Sherry) Wroblewski, Wisconsin Dells; two sisters, Dorothy Whitcomb, Middle Inlet; Bernadine Krieg, DeSota, TX; four grandchildren, Beth, Madison; Debbie, Mercer; Bobbi-Jo, Wisconsin Dells; Timothy, Wisconsin Dells; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, especially Bertha Calhoun, Pat DeWitt, and Patty Gabrielson. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Eva Wolfe, Cecilia Lutz, Virginia Caldwell, and one granddaughter, Kathlyne Weiner.

The family received relatives and friends at the Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto where a prayer service was held. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10 a.m. Thursday September 21, 2000 at Holy Trinity Parish, St. Joseph Site, with the Rev. David C. Ruby officiating and burial at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.
