Georgia Watermolen

MOUNTAIN - Georgia Watermolen, 59, formerly of Green Bay, went home to heaven on Nov. 11, 1999, after a short courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 4, 1940, to Clifford and Elaine (Jantz) Rasmussen. Georgia married Eugene Watermolen July 15, 1980, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, Allouez, and together enjoyed 19 wonderful years. Georgia was an avid bowler, enjoyed collecting pig paraphernalia, and loved painting crafts. She had a tremendous memory of everyone and everything from the past. Georgia also enjoyed being a waitress and bar tending for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Eugene "Geno" Watermolen; her daughter and son-in-law, Brenda (Rick) LaFave, Appleton; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey (Kelly) Schmid Sherwood; five stepchildren, Vicki (Mike) Flynn, Green Bay; Randy (Diane) Watermolen, Sturgeon Bay; Debbie (Marcel) Turriff, De Pere; Glen (Pam) Watermolen, Green Bay; and Dennis Watermolen, Green Bay; 20 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, her mother Elaine Rasmussen; a brother Paul Rasmussen; three sisters and four brothers-in-law, Christie, (Jim) Smeester; Jan (Mike) Kott, Pam (Dave) Bass; and Ray (Jeanette) Watermolen, three sister-in-law, Doris Knapp; Genevieve Watermolen; Veronica Watermolen; nieces; nephews; and many special friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Clifford Rasmussen and three brothers-in-law, Marvin Watermolen, Francis Watermolen, and Bob Knapp. Mass of Christian burial was held Mon., Nov. 15 at St. Michael Chapel, Mountain, with the Rev. Paul Schumacher officiating. Burial in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Proko-Wall Funeral Home, Green Bay, served the family.
