Gene was born February 27, 1930 at Oconto, one of two sons born to Henry and Ann (Clement) Stewart. On November 5,1949, he was united in marriage to the former Jo Kazlauckas. Gene was employed for Damkoehler Paper Company, Oconto for 41 years, until retirement in 1989. He greatly enjoyed outdoor activities, especially hunting and fishing. Gene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his wife Jo; his mother, Ann Stewart, Oconto; three sons, Rich, Abington, MD; Randy and his wife Ev, Oconto and Larry and hip wife Karen, DePere; three daughters, Jeanne Follett and her husband Tom and Lori Scanlan and her husband Pat, Oconto; Jackie Bauer and her husband Paul, Green Bay; a brother, Jason and his wife Janet, Green Bay; 13 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father and two great-grandchildren.
