WELL-KNOWN ABRAMS RESIDENT SUCCUMBS 
George Sargent, 74, Victim of Paralytic Stroke Thursday 

Oconto, Wisc.

George Sargent, 74, well-known Oconto county resident died at his home at Abrams at 9 o’clock last evening. A stroke of paralysis was given as the cause of death. Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the home with Christian Science rites. Burial will be in Brookside cemetery.

The deceased was born in Lowell, Mass., April 25, 1859. He came to Abrams at the age of nine, and had resided there since. He was clerk of the Abrams school district for 25 years. He was president of the Abrams state bank since its organization 16 years ago. For the past six years he had been on the Oconto Board of supervisors, serving on the illegal tax commission and as a member of the land commission.

Survivors are his widow, Etta, four children, Bert, Lee and Vera of Abrams, and Elta(?) of Florence, Wis., and two grandchildren. The Oconto Board of supervisors will attend the funeral in a body.
