-Mrs. Grace Williams of Milwaukee, well known here and a former resident of Oconto, passed away Saturday afternoon at the Holy Family hospital in Manitowoc after a few days illness. She had gone to Manitowoc to visit her daughter, Mrs. Henry Wage, and was taken ill there.

Funeral services were held from the Sacred Heart church Tuesday morning and were conducted by the Rev. Fr. Grace. Burial was in the Evergreen Catholic cemetery in Manitowoc. Mrs. Williams, nee Grace Phelps, was born in Oconto, the daughter of Truman and Margaret Phelps, on March 14, 1869. She was married in 1887 to Mort Williams, a well known conductor on the Chicago and North Western line who preceded her in death nine years ago.

The deceased is survived by one daughter, Mr.s Henry Wage of Manitowoc; one son, Truman, of Milwaukee; one brother, Fred Phelps of Texas and three grandchildren. Mr. and Mrs. P.T. Meeuwsen of Oconto attended the services on Tuesday morning, Mrs. Williams visited at the home of her cousin, Mrs. Meeuwsen, many times.
