RITES WEDNESDAY IN DEFIACNE, Ohio.  
 

Oconto Falls, Wis.—Funeral services were conducted Wednesday afternoon in Defiance, Ohio, for Grant Patterson, 54, who died Sunday, following a week's illness. He had suffered with a heart ailment for several years. Pneumonia and other complications added to the seriousness of his condition.

He was born Jan. 3, 1898, in Oconto Falls, the youngest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Sam Patterson. He attended the Oconto Falls High school, and served with co. M, 128th Inf., of the 32nd division throughout the duration of World War I. After his discharge from the army, he completed his High school course and studied law in Indianapolis. He was admitted to the bar in the State of Indiana. For the past 14 years he has held the position of credit manager of the Defiance Production Credit Corporation.

His marriage to the former Miss Margaret Otis took place in Payne, Ohio, on Febr. 3, 1928.

Survivors are the widow and three daughters, Carole, 16, Sally 14, and Baby Ann who is fifteen months old. His passing is also mourned by his brother Walter, Oconto Falls, and one sister, Mrs. Homer Hubbard of Libertyville, Ill., who will be remembered as Kate Patterson. Two sisters, Carol and Nell, preceded him in death.

The Pattersons visited in Oconto Falls in August, and at that time Grant appeared to be in excellent health. He had many friends in this area of the state who will mourn his death, and was held in high regard by all who knew him.
