GREGORY JON "TIBBS" THIBADEAU

GREGORY JON "TIBBS" THIBADEAU, 18, formerly of Gillett, died unexpectedly, Monday afternoon, January 31, 2000, as the result of a motor vehicle accident.

He was born February 18, 1981 in Green Bay, to Jon P. Thibadeau and Amy J.. (Schneider) Yakes.

Tibbs graduated from Gillett High School with the class of 1999. While in high school, he was very much involved in FFA, continuing his involvement after graduation. At the time of his death, he was attending Fox Valley Technical College, Appleton,studying Natural Resources.

Tibbs was employed, during the spring and summer months, by Green Valley Coop, Green Valley and Chiquita Processed Food Gillett. Tibbs enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and spending time with his friends at the Fort.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Amy and Doug Yakes, Lena; his father, Jon, and his father's special friend, Wilda Kangas, Gillett; Greg was an idol to his little brother, Gavin Thibadeaul Lena. He is also Survived by two stepbrothers, Travis and Justin Yakes, Lena; two stepsisters, Sara (Neil) Kasper, Fond du Lac; Melissa Yakes, Lena; paternal grandmother, Arletta Thibadeaul Gillett; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Barb Schneider, Cecil; stepgrandparents, Ray, and June Yakes, Delavan; maternal great-grandmothers, Margaret Schneider, Cecil; Ceile Donnelly, Florida; aunts, un- cles, many cousins and many friends, including his best friend, Andy Schaal, Gillett. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Eugene Thibadeau paternal great-grandparents, and maternal great-grandfathers.

Funeral Mass of Christian burial was held Friday, January 7 at St. John Catholic Church, Gillet with the Rev. John M. Gallagher officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.

One of Greg's specialties in life,was helping others. He continued to help others through the generosity of his organs and tissue donation. Kuehl Funeral Home, Gillett served the family.
