George J. Prue

George J. Prue, 93, a Pound resident died Thursday, November 15, 2001 at Bay Area Medical Center, Marinette. George was born in Pound on November 18, 1907 to the late Alfred and Anne (Vetek) Prue. He married Adella Seils on January 1, 1946. She preceded George in death on June 28, 2000. George was a veteran of World War II. He was an auto mechanic all of his life working at Seils Brothers Garage, Woulf Motors, and Stan & Ed's in Pound, and Northland Motors in Coleman.

Survivors include two sons, Bill and Tom Prue of Pound; one sister-in-law, Caroline Pelot of Pound and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arthur and Ray Prue; and three sisters, Mable (Prue) Wilson, Evelyn (Prue) Czerniewski, and Marion (Prue) Gruszynski.

Friends called at Rhodes-Charapata Funeral Home, Coleman on Sunday, November 18, from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, November 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. John Hephner officiating. Burial in Forest Home Cemetery, Marinette. Military rites were conducted by the American Legion and VFW at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for the Coleman Rescue Squad.
