Gerald "Jerry" Gille, 79, Abrams, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home, in the loving care of his family, Monday morning, November 19, 2001.

Jerry was born November 26, 1921 in Green Bay, the son of Edward and Alfrieda (Boyea) Gille. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, during World War II. On April 1, 1944, Jerry was united in marriage to the former June Koebke at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Green Bay. Jerry was employed for Wisconsin Public Service and resided in Oconto until the couple retired to Abrams.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 57 years, June; six children, Rebecca Pagel and her husband, Larry, Lena; Laura Gille and husband John Howman, Grafton; Paula Loubier and husband, Raymond, Greendale; Anita Gille and her husband, James Schulzetenberg, St. Paul, MN; Edward Gille and his wife, Dawn, Little Suamico; and Joseph Gille, Iron Mountain, MI; 11 grandchildren; a sister, Kathleen (Mrs. Warren) Gerdes, Allouez; a half-brother, John Gille, Crooked Lake; a sister-in-law, Eleanor, Green Bay; other relatives and many friends.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by three grandchildren, Joel, Jacob, and Sarah Pagel, and by a brother, Raymond.

Tentative arrangements are that family will receive relatives and friends at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Park Avenue at Madison Street, Oconto, from 2 until 5:15 p.m., Friday, November 23. Service of Christian Burial 5:15 p.m., Friday at the Church. Interment at Oconto Catholic Cemetery.

The Jones-Modrow-Young Amer-ican Legion Post #74 will conduct full military rites at the Church.
