Services for Gerald G. "Sparrow" Shallow, 42, of 1621 Main St., Oconto, who died unexpectedly Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1988, were held Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The Rev. Vianney Sipulski officiated. : Burial in Catholic Cemetery.

Friends called at Gallagher-Pinkart Funeral Home from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday. A prayer service was held.

Shallow was born Sept. 21,1945, in Oconto. He married Mona Mescha then Feb. 19, 1966. He was a construction worker for several years, and was a truck drive for Bond Pickle Co., Cruisers Inc and Associated Fixtures. He was a member of the church and was past member of the Oconto Elks Lodge, the Oconto Sportsman' Club and the Oconto Pool League.

He is survived by his wife; daughter, Jacquelyn Shadow , Stevens Point; a son, Jamie Shallow also of Stevens Point; his mother Bernice Shallow of Oconto; a brother John Shallow of Peshtigo; and four sisters, Mary Gonwa of West Bend, Marcia Wittrock of Antigo, Julie Urbanek of Wausau and Joan Nord of Madison.
