George F. Grant Succumbs After 2 Year Illness  
 

Services were held at the Soulek Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon for George F. Grant, Sr. of 220 River Street, Oconto Falls, who died on Thursday at the Peshtigo Convalescent Home. He had been ill for the past two years.

The Rev. James Scott officiated at the rites at two o'clock and burial took place in the Morgan Cemetery with Messrs. Herb Bramschreiber, Robert Hammond, E. E. Magnin, Frank Wacek, Wally Paholke and Eri Sankey carrying the casket.

Mr. Grant was born here on October 10, 1885 and had lived here his lifetime. He was married to the former Kathryn Robinson. In his early life he was a skilled woodsman and employed by various lumber companies. He was latter employed by the paper mill until his retirement.

Survivors are his wife, three daughters, Dorothy, Mrs. Henry Haen, Kaukauna, Kathryn, Mrs. C. C. Bridwell and Mrs. Alice Glover, both of Des Plaines, Ill., two sons George Jr. of Mercer, and James of Des Plaines. He also leaves fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
