Gladys E. Rasmussen, 85, resident of Woodland Village, Suring, died Tuesday, July 11, 2000 following a lengthy illness.

Gladys was born in Mountain September 13, 1914 to the late Thomas and Tillie (Olson) Rasmussen. 5he attended the University of Wisconsin in Steven's Point and graduated as an educator. Gladys taught school for many years while living in Mountain. She had been very active as a Girl Scout Leader. For many years Gladys served as the Church Organist for Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain where she also was a Sunday School Teacher. Gladys was a member at Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain.

Survivors include her two sisters, Pearl Charlson, of New London, and Enid (Greg) Moore, of S. Milwaukee. Also other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held at Tabor Lutheran Church in Mountain Saturday, July 15, 2000 from 10:30 a.m. until time of services. Funeral service was held 11 a.m. at the church with Pastor Paul Schuenemann officiating. Burial in Mountain Cemetery. Gruetzmacher Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established at Tabor Lutheran Church.
