George Cleveland Rites on Thursday  
 

Oconto Falls - George E. Cleveland, 77, died Monday at his home, 127 Union street. In ill health for several years, he had recently spent three weeks in a Green Bay hospital.

Mr. Cleveland was born May 3, 1875 at Carlton, Kewaunee county, a son of the late James Cleveland. The family moved to the town of Chase when he was two years old. He had lived in Oconto Falls since his marriage to Eddie Leigh, of Leighton, Sept. 2, 1918. Until his retirement he was employed in the paper mill here.

Survivors include his wife, a son, Elton, Little Suamico; five grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Lulu Wall, Oconto Falls, and Mrs. William Owen, Lena. Mr. Cleveland was a member of the Oconto Falls Methodist church and the Odd fellows lodge of Oconto.

The body is at the John Cooks Funeral home, where may call this evening. It will be taken to the Methodist church at 11 o’clock Thursday morning to be in state until 2 o’clock, when final rites will be conducted by the Rev. John Simon. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery, Odd Fellows rites will be held at the funeral home at 8 o’clock, Wednesday evening.
